Alazani Georgian Wine, year 2012, price PLN 23.99 per bottle (0.75). Our test says about this bottle of wine (repeatability on a few bottles not tested): rating: 4 * – excellent (97 PPFPP) to cakes. I recommend it for desserts. See: Georgian Wine. Grape variety: Saperavi,
The nose is fruity with cherries, blackberries, raspberries and mint and some smoke in the background (some smoked meat). The mouth is large and heavy, in the background some bitter chocolate and some mint again, some greasy after-taste with a long holding, barely making room for others. My wife has persuaded me to buy a semi-sweet Georgian, not guessing that it could be a sweet Georgian girl, young, stubborn, moody, and feeling well in my company, which meant that we did not want to leave. This wine comes from mountains (if you do not know what it means, read the “Philosophy of Wine” by Béla Hamvas), supposing the night and the moon, a little bit heavy, delicious for desserts.
The rating according to ” PPFPP “: 0 * – wine defective, not suitable for drinking, we do not recommend it (50-79 PPFPP), 1 * – so-so (80-85 PPFPP), 2 * – good (86-89 PPFPP), 3 * – very good (90-95 PPFPP), 4 * – excellent (96-99 PPFPP), 5 * – outstanding (100 PPFPP).
