Our test says about this bottle of wine (repeatability on a few bottles not tested): Paço do Monsul Douro DOC, year 2011, price PLN 19.99 per bottle (0,75): rating: 4* –excellent, 99 PPFPP (almost outstanding).
It goes leaping upon the mountains with a trident in hands, last and tail joyful. This bottle of Paço do Monsul is a satyr, a stallion with a member sticking to the limits, simple, powerful and assertive, wrapping the taste around the finger of own desires. And the temper … worse than koala’s. I do not like guys, but here is a good one (and inexpensive – relatively, whatever that means). This wine comes from mountains, in my nose a bit too much alcohol, some fermented currant, a big mouth, even large and very round, then the bitterness of tannins and of decision-making, fruit and firmness, with the body erected and shaking the trident towards women that do not want to accept it with its sticky after-taste of lust, although short, because there is nothing here to mince or to beat around the bush.
The rating according to ” PPFPP „: 0 * – wine defective, not suitable for drinking, we do not recommend it (50-79 PPFPP), 1 * – so-so (80-85 PPFPP), 2 * – good (86-89 PPFPP), 3 * – very good (90-95 PPFPP), 4 * – excellent (96-99 PPFPP), 5 * – outstanding (100 PPFPP).
