Bastion de Garille Cuvée Fruitée Syrah Pays d’Oc Indication Géographique Protégée, vintage 2013, this bottle (0,75) paid 17,99 PLN, purchased in the discount Biedronka Prostki Poland (red, dry, grape variety: syrah ). Produced and bottled by Vignobles Lorgeril – France.
The new offer of the discount Biedronka, for now, is arousing only admiration in the whole Polish network. Let’s see, I’ve just bought six bottles, Picpoul being absent, because it’s white, sorry Gregory, I do not like white wines, and besides, I developed a methodology in my tasting group, fitting better the red wine (after lunch I pour the bottle into the decanter, letting it breathe and, next, we sip such a wine in four people, in the evening). Rituals in family life are the most important. So, I’ve started with the wine from Carcassonne, Bastion de Garille, Fruitée collection. For starters, once again, I remind that I hate barrel fruit.
And here we have a fruity, full and round syrah, in its best edition, except that in the background the barrel of rose oil lingers on and tries to retrieve its own story, what bothers me exactly as some devilish promptings, when I turn my head after a young wench. I’ll tell here a terrible heresy, a previously described Romanian black maiden fits me more, even though this Bastion is not of the worst ones, although it is not excellent. Amazingly, there wasn’t any after-taste. I do not understand, anything.
This bottle gets 89/100.
